North Canton Firefighters Respond to Plain Township House Fire
Firefighters from North Canton, Canton and Jackson and Plain townships battled the blaze at 717 Grove St. NE Monday afternoon
North Canton firefighters lent a hand to Plain Township firefighters when they battled a blaze at 717 Grove St. NE, North Canton, Monday afternoon.
The fire erupted at a single-story home about 3:30 p.m. that day.
Plain Township Fire Captain Troy Slabaugh told the Canton Repository that the fire started because wind carried ashes from outside fire to combustibles that were against the house.

Slabaugh estimated structural damages at $100,000 and contents at $50,000 damage to contents.
