Police Arrest Man Who Fled After Traffic Stop in North Canton
Police arrested Thomas R. Patton III, 27, whose last known address is North Canton

The man police say ran from them after a traffic stop Tuesday was arrested and is slated to appear in court next week.
North Canton police, with some help from the Stark County Sheriff’s Department, arrested Thomas R. Patton III, 27, in the 2500 block of Zircon Street NE in Canton without incident Thursday.
North Canton police received an anonymous tip, which lead to the arrest.Â

Patton was booked into the Stark County Jail Thursday. He was released on his own recognizance, according to Stark County court records. His arraignment is set for 9 a.m. March 11.
Police said they had attempted to stop Patton's car because he was driving under suspension about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. He fled south on South Main Street and then east on Easthill Street SE before abandoning his car and continuing on foot.

Patton's charges include failure to comply with a police officer, a fourth-degree felony; obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; driving under suspension and reckless operation.Â
