Derek McKinney of Boy Scout Troop 1, sponsored by Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton, has earned his Eagle Scout honor. For his service project, Derek refurbished a chainsaw-created artwork and moved it to a new location at Orchard Hill Elementary School in North Canton. He has earned 22 merit badges, is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow, and has earned Fifth Year Pipestone and the Mile Swim award. Derek is a senior at North Canton Hoover High School and the son of Holly Beshore and Michael McKinney.
