Celebrate Earth Day 2018 In Solon
This year's event will be a little different from past iterations. Find out why.

SOLON, OH — Earth Day 2018 will be held April 29 and the city of Solon plans on celebrating. For the first time in a few years, the event will be held entirely at the Solon Service Department. The Solon Water Reclamation Department is under construction, excluding it from participating in the event.
The 2018 event will consist completely of drive-thrus. No open houses will be held, the city said. Instead, residents can drive to 6600 Cochran Rd. (the Service Department) to purchase mulch, dispose of scrap materials and take part in a community shred.
Each household is allowed to bring three bankers boxes to the shred. The shred will take place until the storage trucks are full and cannot hold any more paper.
