COVID-19 In Solon: ZIP Code Updates

Solon has seen an increase in COVID-19 cases locally since December.

SOLON, OH — There have been more than 1,100 COVID-19 cases associated with a Solon ZIP code, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

The 44139 ZIP Code has been home to 1,147 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. That's up from 947 in mid-December.

Ohio's rate for new COVID-19 cases continued it steady decline on Monday, even as hospitalizations and ICU admissions held steady. Ignoring the combined New Year's and Christmas numbers, Ohio hasn't confirmed 10,000 or more COVID-19 cases in a day since Dec. 17.

There is a risk for another spike in new COVID-19 cases following the New Year's Day holiday, though those cases may not appear for another three to five days.

Approximately 1.5 percent of Ohioans have started the COVID-19 vaccine (nearly 160,000 people).
