Darrow Road Construction Could Impact Solon Drivers
Twinsburg is repaving portions of the main road and the work could slow drivers.

SOLON, OH — Construction on Darrow Road, in nearby Twinsburg, could delay Solon drivers for the next two weeks. Paving operations will start this week and changes in traffic patterns could persist through the winter.
Darrow, between Glenwood Drive and Solon Road, is being paved this week. Twinsburg's contractor is prepping, paving, striping and working on an intersection traffic signal. The city said drivers should expect delays.
Starting Dec. 17, the Meadowood Boulevard-Darrow Road intersection will be closed to all traffic. A detour route along Glenwood will be posted, the city said.

"Ethan’s Drive and Darrow Road will be opened to traffic later in the week. Left turns entering from southbound Darrow Road on to Ethan’s Drive will be prohibited," Twinsburg said in a traffic advisory. "The existing detour route utilizing Glenwood Drive to Ethan’s Drive should continue to be utilized for this traffic movement.
While the work on Darrow won't enter Solon, the construction runs right to city limits. Drivers that regularly use Darrow may find their commutes unusually clogged and slow. Traffic pattern changes effected late in the construction phase are expected to last through the winter.
