Distraction Burglars Target Solon Residents
A pair of burglars are conning Solon residents, police announced.
SOLON, OH — Distraction burglars are targeting Solon residents, the police department announced.
A man posing as a utility worker will knock on a resident's door and say he needs to work on the electrical wires inside the resident's home.
"If allowed in, this suspect will distract the homeowner, while another suspect takes items from the home. The suspects are reported to be in gray and black unmarked pick up trucks," police said.

One of the suspects typically wears a yellow utility vest.
"Always use caution and ask for identification. If something doesn’t seem right, it may not be. Don’t hesitate to call 440-248-1234 and request an officer to verify the identity of someone that seems suspicious," police said.
