Eligibility Expands: Where To Get COVID Vaccine In Solon
Nearly 900,000 more Ohioans are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Here's where to schedule an appointment.
SOLON, OH — Ohio expanded its COVID-19 vaccine program to people 60 and older and other vulnerable groups Thursday.
Ohioans who work in childcare services, law enforcement or funeral services will also receive the vaccine. Ohioans who are pregnant, in need of a bone marrow transplant, or have been diagnosed with ALS or Type 1 diabetes can also receive the vaccine.
With nearly 900,000 more Ohioans qualifying for the vaccine, demand for COVID-19 vaccine shots will be high. This week, health officials are expecting approximately 450,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be sent to the Buckeye State, including doses from Moderna, Pfizer and the newly-approved Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The governor said 96,100 doses of the vaccine will be sent to the Buckeye State this week. Over the course of this week, including the Moderna and Pfizer shipments, 448,390 doses of COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in Ohio. That's the most vaccine doses received yet in the state.
