I-271 South Construction Will Impact Rockside, Forbes Exits
Drivers may want to find a different route to work, or home, on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

BEDFORD, OH — Weekend construction on I-271 has been postponed to Tuesday night, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced. Crews will be closing the two right lanes of I-271 south at Rockside Road from 9 p.m. on Tuesday to 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
Workers will be milling and paving near the Rockside Road exit during that closure, ODOT said. Drivers may want to find a different route around the construction on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
Drivers that use that route will be detoured via Rockside Road and will then re-enter I-480 east/I-271 south. The I-271 southbound lane on the left will remain open. However, that lane cannot access Rockside Road and the Broadway/Forbes exit ramps.

Drivers that need to use either the Rockside or Broadway/Forbes exits can use I-480 west, ODOT said. Take I-480 to Miles Road to Northfield Road to access both Rockside and Broadway/Forbes.
