Lady Comets Tennis Taking Northeast Ohio Conference by Storm

It appears that the Solon Comets ladies tennis team is a force to be reckoned with this season.

The Comets are 5-0 in the Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division and tout a 12-1 overall record.

Head Coach Linda Fox said her team is having a "terrific" year.

"I wondered what the season would hold," Fox said.  "After long practices, much conditioning and a trip to the pro tournament in Cincinnati, we played in the Medina Doubles Invitational and took first place. They have been on a roll ever since."

This year's team of nine players features six seniors, two juniors, one sophomore and only three returning players.

The varsity team travels to Stow-Munroe Falls High School on Wednesday, Sept. 18 for a match against the Lady Bulldogs.
