Meet Solon Middle School's New Principal
Antoine Campbell has been with the Solon Schools since 2008.

SOLON, OH — Antoine Campbell will be the next principal of Solon Middle School.
Campbell's hiring was approved by the Solon Board of Education on Monday. He will start work August 1.
“We are excited to see Antoine build on his vision at Solon Middle School that supports the needs of every student,” said Solon Schools Superintendent Fred Bolden. “He is a strong, collaborative educational leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and is a valued member of our administrative team. Most importantly, Antoine is a student-first administrator, who will continue to focus on fostering a collaborative and supportive school culture.”

Campbell came to the Solon Schools in 2008, first serving as assistant principal at Solon High School. He moved to Solon Middle School in 2015, taking on the same role. Current Solon Middle School Principal Scott Hatteberg will retire this summer, and Bolden said plans to find his replacement began earlier this year.
“Our Solon Middle School staff works tirelessly every day to create a positive and safe learning environment for our students,” Campbell said. “I am proud to be chosen to lead our SMS team in the next chapter of our success and the shared goal of meeting the needs of every student every day.”

Campbell came to Solon after working in the Akron Schools. He was principal at the Akron Opportunity Center, an alternative school program for at-risk seventh and eighth grade students. He was also assistant principal at Riedinger Middle School in Akron and in the Maple Heights School.
Campbell earned both his bachelor's degree in education and his master's in educational administration from the University of Ashland.
