SOLON, OH — There will be no criminal charges filed against Solon Principal Erin Short, the district announced Wednesday.

"We have not yet received the final results of the police investigation into this matter or formal notification from the prosecutor’s office, but we expect that shortly. Once we receive this information, we will have further details on when we will welcome Erin Short back to her duties as principal," Superintendent Fred Bolden said in a letter to families.

Short was placed on paid administrative leave on Feb. 15 after accusations were made against her. The district has not revealed the nature of the accusations. The accusations against the principal were alleged to have taken place more than a decade ago.
