Ohio's Best Fall Foliage Dates: Interactive Map
If you're planning a fall foliage tour in Ohio— or anywhere in the country — this tool can help you make the most of it.

Autumn in Ohio is one of the most vividly colorful times of year. As the Oaks and Sycamores prepare for the inevitable onslaught of winter blizzards, the trees morph into a blaze of reds and oranges and yellow. It's prime flannel and picnic time for the outdoors crowd. For the indoors crowd, you can occasionally glance out the window while binge watching 'Stranger Things' again.
If you're planning an excursion into the Great Outdoors, you'd be well served to time your trip perfectly. Too often would-be leaf sightseers end up feeling short-changed when they visit a park, the Fall Foliage Prediction Map can help with all of that.
The map can be found on the Great Smoky Mountains National Park website, but it includes all 50 states. If you're planning a trip to some other area with great fall color, such as New England, the map can remove some of the guesswork.

In Ohio this week, the leafs are currently at partial foliage color. By next week, they should be in near peak foliage color. The leafs hit peak coloring the week of Oct. 14.
