Solon Baseball Player Makes All-Ohio 2nd Team
Ryan McCurry will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall. His coach said he was an excellent two-way player for the Comets.

SOLON, OH — Before departing for the University of Michigan in the fall, Solon High School outfielder Ryan McCurry brought some recognition to his alma mater. The graduating senior earned 2nd team All-Ohio honors for his play on the field.
Damien Kopkas, head coach for the Solon varsity baseball team, said McCurry was an "Excellent student and two-way player." The future Wolverine also hit the gridiron, playing football for Solon High.
During his impressive senior campaign, McCurry had a .408 batting average, clubbing four homeruns and driving 29 RBI. He had a sterling slugging percentage of .708 and an on-base percentage of .522, his best season-average of his Solon career.

Besides being named to an All-Ohio team for Division I, McCurry was named to the Academic All-Ohio team, All-Northeast District 1st Team (in both 2017 and 2018), All-Greater Cleveland Conference 1st Team (in 2017 and 2018), and was a team co-captain.
McCurry was an All-Ohio Honorable Mention in his junior year.
