Solon Boys Basketball Earn Thrilling Win In Tournament Play
The Comets knocked off old foe Cleveland Heights-University Heights on Wednesday. Solon squeaked by on a score of 71-70.

EUCLID, OH - The Solon Comets beat Cleveland Heights-University Heights High School in thrilling fashion. The Comets won 71-70 on Wednesday night after Solon senior David Gulley drained a 3-pointer to put the game away.
The Comets are the number one ranked team in the division and have enjoyed a sterling season. The team compiled a 17-7 regular season record and an 8-6 record in-conference.
It's a case of deja vu for the basketball program. Solon High School eliminated the Tigers last year, though the sting of this year's defeat may linger even longer than 2016's loss for Cleveland Heights-University Heights.

The Comets now await the winner of Glenville and Mentor. Those two teams will play each other on March 9. The division championship game will then be played March 11 at Euclid High School at 7 p.m.
Solon is the number one ranked team in the division. CHUH was the number three ranked team in the division.
