Solon Football Ranked No. 5 In Region

SOLON, OH — The Solon Comets are now the No. 5 ranked team in Region 1, Division I football, according to OHSAA's computer rankings. The team jumped four spots after defeating Euclid on October 11.

Solon is now 5-2 on the season. The Comets will host Medina High on Friday night. Medina is currently ranked No. 6 in the region.

Solon's two losses on the season came against ranked opponents: No. 1 Mentor (7-0 on the year) and No. 10 Stow-Munroe Falls (4-3 on the year). Here's how OHSAA ranks Region 1, Division I heading into Week 8 of the season:
