High school football is back. Are you excited?
SOLON, OH — The Solon Comets will again take the gridiron Friday night. The team will kick-off its season against one of its rivals — the Aurora Green Men.
The two teams have played each other 18 times and Solon has dominated the series: holding a record of 15-3 all-time against Aurora. Last year's season opener, also against Aurora, was a down-to-the-wire affair, with Solon just eking out a victory 15-14. Comet fans will be hoping for a less stressful start to the season this year.
