Solon High Nominated For Browns Game Of The Week
The winning team in the Game of the Week will receive $2,500 for its football program.
SOLON, OH —The upcoming football game between Solon High and Euclid High has been nominated for Cleveland Browns High School Game of the Week. If the match-up is selected for game of the week, the Browns will cover the game on their website and social media and the winning team will receive $2,500 for its football program.
The Solon Comets are currently 4-2. They've lost to undefeated Mentor and Stow-Munroe Falls. They have wins over Twinsburg, Brunswick, Shaker Heights, and Hudson. They'll be playing Euclid High in Euclid on Friday night.
Euclid is currently undefeated, with a 6-0 record. Only two teams in Region 1 are undefeated at this point in the season, Euclid and Mentor.

Solon is ranked No. 9 in OHSAA's regional computer polls. Euclid is ranked No. 2. A win by Solon could move the team up in the rankings. Currently Mentor, who are 6-0, is ranked No. 1 in the region.
The other games nominated for Browns Game of the Week are Strongsville versus Medina, Stow versus Nordonia and South versus Mayfield. Voters can cast their ballots online.
