Solon High Principal On Leave Following Claim
A concern was raised against Principal Erin Short, the district explained. An investigation into the claim has been launched.

SOLON, OH — Solon High School Principal Erin Short has been placed on administrative leave, district officials announced.
A claim was made against Short, Superintendent Fred Bolden told families in a letter. However, the source of the claim has not been confirmed and the incident is alleged to have taken place more than a decade ago, Bolden said.
Bolden did not say what the claim against Short was, arguing he could not reveal more during an ongoing investigation.

"The police are investigating the matter as well as the identity of the individual who expressed the concern. We are fully cooperating with police in the investigation," Bolden said.
Short was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 15, pending the outcome of the investigation.
"During this time, Assistant Principal Erica Kosiorek is serving as acting principal. Because the investigation is ongoing, we cannot share further details at this time," Bolden said.
