Solon Resident Named 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete
Katie Fiorilli was one of 44 Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes for the academic year honored by University of Wisconsin- Whitewater.

From University of Wisconsin-Whitewater: Katie Fiorilli, a native of Solon, OH, and graduate of Solon High School, was one of 44 Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes for the 2016-17 academic year honored by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Department of Intercollegiate Athletics during the fourth annual Warhawk Awards on Monday.
Student-athletes in their senior year who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 at the conclusion of the 2016 fall semester, achieve senior status in their academic program and have at least 90 degree credits are recognized as Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes.
All honorees received a commemorative watch from Chancellor Beverly Kopper.

Fiorilli, a member of the UW-Whitewater gymnastics team, is majoring in communication sciences and disorders.
