Solon School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

SOLON, OH — The first day of school in Solon is August 20 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Solon School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/10: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/12: Teacher Professional Day
• 10/19: End of First Quarter

November

• 11/9: No School Grades K-8/ Conferences Grades K-8
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21: End of Second Quarter
• 12/24 - 1/4: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/18: Teacher Professional Day
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents’ Day)

March

• 3/15: End of Third Quarter
• 3/25 - 3/29: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/19 - 4/22: No School (Easter Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/5: Last Day For Students/End of Fourth Quarter
• 6/6: Teacher Professional Day
