McKinney comes to Solon from the Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools, where he has been director of technology since 2013.
“Patrick began his career as a local area network administrator at Kent State University and has worked in educational technology at the K-12 and college level for more than 15 years,” said Solon Schools Superintendent Fred Bolden.
Prior to his stint with Willoughby-Eastlake, McKinney was the technology coordinator for the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools and a local area network administrator for Kent State University.
