State Rep. Phil Robinson Cancels Events In Solon, Mayfield

Robinson was supposed to meet with the public on March 14 and again on April 6. Both events are canceled because of new coronavirus.

SOLON, OH — State Rep. Phil Robinson is canceling his March and April events for constituents. Robinson was scheduled to hold a town hall in Mayfield Village on April 6.

Robinson canceled his event in Solon on Saturday and will reschedule his town hall in Mayfield Village. He cited concern over the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19, for the cancellations.

“Due to the concerns of the spread of the coronavirus, we must all limit public gatherings, so I will be canceling my in-district office hours this month and rescheduling our Mayfield Village town hall for a future date. My office will keep you all updated on the status of other already scheduled, future events,” said Robinson. “For questions and concerns about public health information for the coronavirus, utilize the Ohio Department of Health’s coronavirus resources, including www.coronavirus.ohio.gov and the coronavirus hotline at 834-4ASKODH. Onward together everyone.”

The next public event for Robinson is scheduled for April 11 at the Gates Mills Public Library.

There are now 36 confirmed new coronavirus, COVID-19, cases in Ohio, officials announced Sunday. Dr. Amy Acton, director of the Ohio Department of Health, said it is becoming increasingly difficult to track the number of confirmed cases around the state because testing is ramping up.

Gov. Mike DeWine and state officials ordered all bars and restaurants closed statewide on Sunday. Carry-out and delivery will be allowed to continue, but dine-in services will be barred.
