AT&T Store Robbed In Solon

Police said they used GPS devices to track stolen merchandise after the robbery.

SOLON, OH — An AT&T store in Solon was robbed Monday afternoon.

An employee at the store was zip tied by the suspects during the robbery. After the suspects took merchandise and left, the employee walked to a nearby business to ask for help.

Chagrin Valley Dispatch was able to use GPS devices in the merchandise to track the suspects. Police found a car matching the description given by the zip-tied employee and stopped the vehicle.

The car was driven by a 26-year-old man. Police searched the car and found a handgun and stolen merchandise inside the vehicle.

The 26-year-old was taken into custody. Additional details on the armed robbery will be released as the investigation continues, a Solon police spokesperson said.
