2 People Targeted by Scams, and 1 Falls Victim: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

Two residents reported scams to police Sept. 11, but only one lost money.
A Sherwood Drive resident notified police after getting a call from the "Federal Crime Enforcement Region," claiming he owned the caller money for work he'd done.
The caller claimed there was a warrant out for the resident's arrest.
Police called the number and found the man who answered was evasive with his answers and eventually hung up on the officer.
The resident does not have a warrant, a report said.
In the other incident, reported an hour later, a woman answered an ad on Craig's List for a home health care worker.
The man who placed the ad said he needed an aide for his sister, who is moving here from out of state.
He sent a check for $2,850, and asked the woman to send back $500 to Texas via Moneygram.
She did, then learned the next day from her bank that the check she'd deposited was fake.
Theft from Cart
A shopper said her iPad was stolen while she was at Costco Sept. 12, possibly from her cart.
It might also have been taken outside the store, a report said.
Burglary
A Chatman Drive woman arrived home from work at 8 a.m. Sept. 9 and found her apartment had been ransacked.
Nap Time
Police were asked to check on a man in the Home Depot parking lot about 3 a.m. Sept. 9 after someone noticed he'd been there for several hours.
The man was fine. He said he had worked all day and went to the store to pick up some items about 2 a.m., but when he was leaving, decided he was too tired to drive and took a nap.
