Brunswick Woman Dies At Indiana Theme Park

INDIANA — A Brunswick woman died after riding a roller coaster in Indiana.

The woman was at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana. She was riding a roller coaster called The Voyage when she passed out, the theme park said.

When the coaster returned to station, the woman was unresponsive. EMT arrived three minutes later and gave the woman first aid before she was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana, where she later died.

The theme park did a full inspection of the roller coaster, officials said, and the ride was operating as intended.

The woman was identified as a Brusnwick native on Monday, Fox 8 reported. The results of the woman's autopsy have not yet been released.
