Construction Started Outside Southpark Mall
Lane restrictions on Royalton Road, near the west entrance of the mall, will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Lane restriction near Southpark Mall went into effect on Monday. Part of Royalton Road will be restricted from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. for about two weeks.
Crews are installing water lines beneath Royalton Road, according to Strongsville police. The construction will impact Royalton Road, near the west entrance to Southpark Mall.
While the project should last two weeks, all construction is weather dependent. Additionally, Strongsville police said on Facebook that traffic should not be impacted outside of the scheduled lane restriction times — 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Drivers that typically make use of the Royalton Road corridor may want to avoid the area during those times for the next two weeks.
Near the center of Strongsville, crews are busy upgrading ramps and pedestrian signals on Pearl Road. Lanes of traffic will close sporadically throughout the project, which is slated to conclude by Memorial Day.

The city said that work on Pearl and Royalton will begin in August. Crews will be installing new crosswalks, new mast arms for traffic signals, new pedestrian islands and a new concrete median. That project is expected to continue into September.
