COVID-19 In Strongsville: ZIP Code Updates
Strongsville has seen an increase in COVID-19 cases locally since December.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — There have been nearly 1,500 COVID-19 cases associated with a Strongsville ZIP code, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
The 44136 ZIP Code has been home to 1,492 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. That's up from 1,138 in mid-December.
Since the start of the pandemic, the 44017 ZIP code has been home to 1,067 COVID-19 cases. That's up from 826 COVID-19 cases in mid-December. A third ZIP code in Strongsville, 44149, had 1,191 COVID-19 cases, up from 900 cases.

Ohio's rate for new COVID-19 cases continued it steady decline on Monday, even as hospitalizations and ICU admissions held steady. Ignoring the combined New Year's and Christmas numbers, Ohio hasn't confirmed 10,000 or more COVID-19 cases in a day since Dec. 17. There is a risk for another spike in new COVID-19 cases following the New Year's Day holiday, though those cases may not appear for another three to five days.
Approximately 1.5 percent of Ohioans have started the COVID-19 vaccine (nearly 160,000 people).
