County residents will rally to end Gov. Mike DeWine's repressive dictates that have created an economic and social crisis across Ohio.
Cuyahoga County residents will rally to end Gov. Mike DeWine's repressive dictates that have led to an economic and social crisis throughout the state.
The rally, to be held at the intersection of I-480 and Tiedeman Road on Saturday, May 9, 2020, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., is a part of Free Ohio Now's Rally Around Ohio. Rally Around Ohio is a coordinated 88-county demand for the immediate end of Ohio's unconstitutional restrictions on public interaction and economic activity.
The repressive dictates of DeWine and Amy Acton, his appointed state health director, have made the "cure" for the coronavirus pandemic worse than the disease:

- People are unemployed, uninsured and the economy is heading into recession;
- Parents may still be working, but their children are not in school or day care;
- Unemployed, divorced parents are falling behind in child support payments;
- Rates of depression, suicide and alcohol/drug are rising as stay-at-home orders continue;
- Factories are only calling back some of their workers;
- Schools and universities are furloughing or laying off employees;
- City, county and state governments are seeing fiscal downturns;
- Elections aren’t being properly held;
- The food supply chain is strained and in jeopardy;
- The ability of the federal government to sustain and fund state programs is very uncertain;
- Constitutional rights are being trampled;
- Churches are closed;
- Many people await surgeries and delay seeking essential medical help. Do only COVID-19 lives matter?
The "Stay Safe" order issued by Acton includes an unnecessary continuation of the stay-at-home directive that restricts individual liberty. Extending the duration of what amounts to house arrest for healthy Ohio citizens must end immediately.
The Health Director’s Order also includes an unconstitutional mandate stipulating that certain businesses and operations remain closed until the Order is amended or rescinded. This infringes on the rights of specified business owners to resume operation. To continue to smother any segment of Ohio’s economy is no longer reasonable or necessary.
