Don't Burn The Christmas Tree Yet, Strongsville Will Collect Them

Make sure you get the ornaments and lights off before the tree is set out on the curb.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The city will once again collect Christmas trees from residents this year. The trees will be chipped and then taken to a state-approved compost facility.

Trees can be left at the curb on regular collection days. Residents are asked to make sure all ornaments and lights have been stripped off the tree.

Trees will be collected until Jan. 21. However, collection is weather dependent, the city says. If it snows, crews may be assigned to plow local streets instead of tree pick-up duty. Safe roads are the priority, the city says.

However if it is not snowing and a tree is not collected, residents should call 440-580-3170 and leave an address for crews to visit.
