Fatal Car Accident In Strongsville, 1 Dead

A man is dead after crashing his car into a salt bin in Strongsville, law enforcement said.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — A 24-year-old was killed in a traffic accident in Strongsville this weekend, police said.

The 24-year-old drove his Honda into a salt bin near Pearl and Sprague roads on Sunday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office confirmed. He was declared dead on the scene.

A witness called Strongsville police at 5 a.m. on Sunday. They said they did not see the accident, but the driver appeared to be unconscious inside the car.

Officers arrived and confirmed the driver was dead. The area around the crash was briefly shut down. Cleveland police were asked to notify the driver's family.

It's unclear when the accident actually occurred. The witness told police he believed the car had crashed earlier that morning.

Police said the man's car was towed from the area at 6:30 a.m. Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
