STRONGSVILLE, OH — Hobby Lobby has applied for a building permit at the former Pat Catan's location in Strongsville, the city announced. The permit would allow the company to renovate the building.

Pat Catan's was owned by the Michaels Companies. In early 2019, the company announced it would shutter all Pat Catan's across Ohio. At the Pat Catan's in Strongsville, 56 people were laid off before the end of November, according to a letter filed with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

The former Pat Catan's Strongsville location is on Pearl Road, just south of Royalton Road, in the Aldi plaza. The nearest Hobby Lobby stores are in Medina and Macedonia.
