Homeless Man Living in Woods: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A witness got suspicious after seeing two men park behind a Whitney Road apartment two days in a row and walk into the woods behind Kings Inn carrying a bag.
When they returned, they no longer had the bag, a report said.
Police spoke with the owner of the motel, who said he allows a homeless man to camp out in the woods behind the property when he gets low on funds.Â
The visitors are friends of the man's, bringing him food.Â
The owner said the man relies on money from the county's veterans' services agency. Police provided the man with the number for the agency to discuss his funding.
Not Your Call, Lady
A woman rear-ended a car on Royalton Road Aug. 14, but told the other driver she had no damage and left the scene.
That's not the way it works, though.Â
The victim said she got the woman to pull over in the Verizon lot, but she gave her "attitude," a report said, saying she hadn't caused any damage and leaving without exchanging information.
Police tracked he to her apartment, where she had a "very negative attitude," a report said. She denied being in a crash, saying she just bumped the other car.
She said she left because she had to feed her diabetic kid and didn't have time to stick around for a "bump."
She was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
Another Scam Report
A Walnut Creek Drive resident got a phone call telling her she had to wire money or be arrested.Â
Several residents have received similar calls. Police said it's a scam.
