STRONGSVILLE, OH — A fire did more than $400,000 of damage to a home on Heritage Trail on Tuesday, Strongsville Fire Chief Jack Draves announced.

At 12:24 a.m., 911 callers said a house fire had broken out on Heritage Trail. Callers said everyone inside the house had escaped, but the home was burning, Draves said.

Strongsville firefighters arrived at 12:32 a.m. There was heavy fire at the back of the house, so crews immediately began using water to bring flames under control. Sixteen Strongsville firefighters responded to the call. Crews from Brunswick, Middleburg Height and North Royalton all helped battle the flames.
