How Coronavirus Hit Strongsville ZIP Codes
The Ohio Department of Health has released new data on how every ZIP code in Ohio has been hit by COVID-19.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Three ZIP codes in Strongsville have been hit hard by COVID-19.
On Thursday, the Ohio Department of Health released a new tool allowing people to see how a specific zip code has been hit during the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the department's data, since the start of the pandemic, there have been 284 cases in the 44107 ZIP code, 470 cases in the 44136 ZIP code, and 397 cases in the 44149 ZIP code. All three ZIP codes include parts of Strongsville.

Here are the hardest hit ZIP codes in Cuyahoga County:
- 44107 (Lakewood) — 1,034 cases
- 44130 (Middleburg Heights, Parma, Parma Heights) — 953
- 44121 (South Euclid, Cleveland, Cleveland Heights) — 870
- 44134 (Parma, Cleveland) — 860
- 44118 (Cleveland Heights) — 834
Ohio is in the midst of its worst COVID-19 surge, regularly confirming record-breaking totals of new cases among residents. Gov. Mike DeWine has threatened to shut down bars, restaurants and gyms to prevent further spread, but he has also urged Ohioans to simply wear their masks and practice social distancing.

"We don't want another shutdown. We can all avoid a shutdown if we are very careful. This is within our control. We don't have to let it get that bad. We don't have to let it get to the point where hospitals are full. We all have it in our power to prevent this," DeWine said.
