'Lucky' Cat Survives Unusual Trip in Car Engine Compartment to Strongsville
A man started to hear a squealing sound coming from his car while driving home from Akron, reports our partners at NewsNet5.com He was surprised to learn it was a kitten in his engine compartment.

Eddie Ivancic of Strongsville heard a squealing sound coming from his car Friday while driving home from Akron.
"Couldn't hear anything unless the car was actually running," Ivancic told our partners at WEWS News Channel 5. "It was kind of hard to tell where it was."

What it turned out to be was a six-week-old female kitten that crawled into the engine compartment of his car.Â
Thankfully, the kitten made the whole trip home unharmed. A neighbor girl was able to coax the kitten out with some "meowing."Â

If the kitten checks out OK at the veterinary office, Ivancic's neighbors plan to keep the new pet and possibly name it "Lucky."
