Macy's Hiring 80,000 For Holidays

With the holiday shopping season being measured in weeks now, stores are hiring seasonal help for the rush.

Macy's announced this week it will be hiring about 80,000 seasonal employees nationwide.

Jobs available include store sales, store operations, customer service in call centers, and working in distribution centers. Many of the positions are part-time, and will require working evenings, weekends or overnight.

Seasonal workers may also have a shot at permanent positions, if openings become available, depending on performance during the holiday season.

This is about a 2.5 percent increase from the company hiring 78,000 in 2011.

In addition to Strongsville (at SouthPark Mall), there are also Macy's stores in North Olmsted (at Great Northern Mall) and Elyria.
