Man Tries to Steal Car with Family in Back Seat: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

Police were called to an unusual incident Friday evening in which a man got into an occupied car.Â
The victim told police her husband went into the Salvation Army store on Pearl Road shortly before 8 p.m. while she and her daughter stayed in the back seat of her BMW.
A man walked up and got into the driver's seat. When the woman screamed, he jumped out and ran toward Pearl Road.
Police checked the area, but the woman said she waited about 10 minutes before reporting the incident. A report said the family just wanted to get out of the area and decided to call police afterward.
The suspect was described as a white man in his 50s, with gray hair and wearing glasses.
Mailbox Damaged — Again
A Plum Brook Lane resident told police someone threw a marble trophy at his mailbox Saturday night, breaking the door.
It's the fourth time his mailbox has been damaged, a report said.
Kids Sent Home
Residents in the Regency-Stratford area called police about 11 p.m. Saturday about kids with flashlights running around on the common area, yelling and using foul language.
Police caught two of them running around and determined they were all staying at a house on Regency.Â
They agreed to stay in for the rest of the night.
TV in Road
A passerby reported a flat screen TV smashed on Whitney Road about 7 a.m. Saturday.
An officer moved the bigger pieces to a tree lawn.
