Part of Pearl Road Closed Wednesday For Strongsville Homecoming

The kick-off parade will close down a main artery in the city for about three hours, police said. Plan to avoid the area during that time.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Strongsville Homecoming Parade will kick-off three days of festivities in the city. It will also close down part of Pearl Road on Wednesday, something drivers should prepare for.

Strongsville Police took to social media to remind residents of the impending traffic problems. "A reminder that Pearl Road between Progress Drive and Royalton Road will be closed on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until approximately 8 p.m. for the annual Homecoming Parade. Please plan accordingly," the department said on Facebook.

The annual Homecoming Parade will start at 6:30 p.m. on July 25. The parade launches from Progress Drive, heads down Pearl Road and ends on Westwood. After the parade, at 7:30 p.m., the Cleveland Breakfast Club will perform.

The Homecoming midway will open at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at noon on Saturday. Individual ride tickets can be purchased, or residents can buy a $20, all-day pass. The events will be held at the Strongsville Commons.
