Pearl Road To Close For Strongsville Homecoming Parade

Police said part of the road will be closed for more than two hours on Wednesday, July 17.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Pearl Road will be closed for about three hours on Wednesday for the Homecoming Parade, the police department announced this week.

The parade will proceed down Pearl Road between Progress Drive and Royalton Road, starting at 6:30 p.m. on July 17. Pearl Road will be closed from about 5:45 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m., the police department said on social media.

Participants in the parade should arrive early and plan on encountering traffic congestion.

The 77th Annual Homecoming Festival runs from July 17 to July 20. The parade serves as the official kick-off to festivities.

The Homecoming festival will conclude with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. There will be free entertainment for attendees every evening of the festival.

The Homecoming Festival is held on the Commons, which are at the corner of Pearl Road and Royalton Road. The festival is organized by the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce.
