Pearl Road Construction Shifts On Friday

Drivers should do what they can to avoid the area.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — More traffic and construction could impact Strongsville drivers this week. Crews will transition their work on the bridge of Pearl Road, over the Ohio Turnpike, to the other side of the bridge.

"Expect traffic congestion in the area to be even worse than usual (yes that is possible) on this day. Avoid the area if at all possible," the city's police department said on Facebook.

Crews will be replacing the Pearl Road bridge deck during the project, which Patch reported in early March. The project was originally slated to start in late March. Construction should be finished by early October, weather permitting.

Traffic will still be able to on and off of the Turnpike during the construction period, police said on Facebook.
