Robber Threatens To Shoot North Royalton Bank Teller

The man told a teller he would shoot her if she tried to stop the robbery. He then threatened to come back shooting if she called police.

NORTH ROYALTON, OH — A robber threatened to shoot a teller at a bank in North Royalton on Wednesday, the FBI announced. The robber escaped with cash and said he would come back and "shoot" if the tellers called anyone.

The robbery happened at 3:10 p.m. at the Huntington Bank inside the Giant Eagle on Royalton Road. The robber came into the store, approached the bank and then gave the teller a note, which read, "100s and 50s."

The robber then said, "Give me all the money. If you do anything, I'll shoot you." The teller handed the man cash, the FBI said. As the man left he said, "Don't call anyone, don't do anything. If you do, I'll come back and shoot."

No one was hurt during the robbery, according to an FBI spokesperson.

The robber was seen leaving the Giant Eagle and getting into a silver four door sedan, with a large dent on the driver's side. The car was seen going north on State Road.

The robber is a black man, in his teens or early 20s. He was approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with Adidas written in white down the left arm, black jeans and black shoes, the FBI said.

Tips on the robbery or the man's identity can be given to the North Royalton Police Department, the Cleveland Division of the FBI or Crime Stoppers. Tips can remain anonymous. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the bank robber.
