Shred Day Is June 18 In Strongsville

Need to get rid of some documents? Don't want to buy a paper shredder? This is the event for you.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Strongsville community Shred Day will be held June 18, the city announced.

Residents can dispose of unwanted documents in the parking lot of the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The service is free for Strongsville residents.

Attendees should enter from Royalton Road (the Greens of Strongsville driveway). Vehicles are prohibited from lining up prior to 8 a.m.

Here is a list of acceptable items for shredding:

  • Accounting ledger paper,
  • Adding machine tape,
  • Advertisements,
  • Booklets/brochures,
  • Copy machine paper,
  • Colored paper - 20 pound,
  • Computer paper,
  • Envelopes,
  • Faxes,
  • Manila file folders,
  • Greeting cards,
  • Laser printer paper,
  • Legal pad paper, Post-it notes,
  • NCR paper,
  • Receipts and
  • All types of white paper

These items will not be accepted at the shredder:
