Southwest General Hospital Among Ohio's Best: Newsweek

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH — Southwest General - Middleburg Heights Medical Center is among Ohio's best medical facilities, according to a new ranking from Newsweek.

The publication released its 2021 rankings of America's best hospitals. Ohio placed 22 hospitals on the list, including the Cleveland Clinic, which was rated as the second-best hospital in the nation, behind only the Mayo Clinic.

In its methodology, Newsweek explained that it looked at three data sources to compile the rankings: recommendations from medical experts, results from patient surveys and medical KPIs on hospitals.

Southwest General - Middleburg Heights Medical Center rated as the 239th best hospital in the U.S. and the 21st best hospital in Ohio. The facility scored a 64.67 percent on the Newsweek scorecard.
