Strongsville 11th In First OHSAA Football Rankings

The Mustangs will play the Solon Comets on Friday.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — In a reversal of last year's struggle, the Strongsville Mustangs football team finds itself ranked in the top 12 teams in Division I, Region I, according to OHSAA's first computer ranking. The Mustangs have trotted out to a 2-2 record on the season, so far.

Strongsville dropped its last game on Sept. 15 to Mentor, 42-27. The team will look for redemption on the road as the team travels to Solon. That game will be played Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.

The top three teams in the division are St. Ignatius, Stow-Munroe Falls and Canton-McKinley, all traditional football powerhouses. All four of the top four teams in Division I, Region I are undefeated. The other six teams in the region have at least one loss.
