The money will be used to help put on the A Day at the Chalet outdoor arts event.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC), an organization that supports arts groups throughout the county, announced it would award more than $12 million in grants to 258 organizations. One of the groups that received a small grant from the group is the Arts in Strongsville organization.

The CAC awarded Arts in Strongsville a $5,000 grant, according to CAC records.

Arts in Strongsville, a non-profit, is the driving force behind the A Day at the Chalet event, an outdoor art festival with family-friendly activities. Much of the grant-monies will be used to fund the event, Cindy Baldin, Arts in Strongsville's president, told Patch.

The Arts in Strongsville group also hosts the Art & Chalk Walk, Camp Applause and various scholarships to high school seniors.
