Strongsville Businesses Can Apply For Federal Relief Grants

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Local businesses in Strongsville should register and apply for grants through the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, state Rep. Tom Patton advised.

Patton, a Republican from Strongsville, noted that the $28.6 billion fund is for restaurants, bars, caterers and other food businesses that lost money during the pandemic.

“This pandemic has caused irrefutable damage to our restaurant industry,” Patton said. “While I’m optimistic we’re slowly getting back to normal, I highly encourage our local business owners to take a look into this grant fund as I do believe it can help provide some assistance to them.”

The Restaurant Revitalization Fund was created as part of the American Rescue Plan. The fund offers aid of up to $10 million per business. Registration for the fund starts Friday and the open application period starts Monday.

Restaurants do not have to repay any of the funds they receive, as long as the money is used for eligible purposes before March 2023.
