Strongsville Football Just Makes OHSAA Rankings Cut

The team fell only one spot after their loss Friday to Solon.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Despite dropping their most recent game to 7th-ranked Solon, 28-14, the Strongsville Mustangs remain ranked in the latest iteration of the OHSAA computer rankings. The team fell one spot from 11 to 12 as teams start preparing for Week 6 play.

Strongsville now has a losing record for the first time this season, sitting at 2-3. The team will look to right the ship on Friday when it plays Euclid High School. That game will be played in Strongsville at 7 p.m.

The top of the OHSAA computer rankings are dominated by the three remaining undefeated teams in the region. Stow-Munroe Falls, the team previously ranked third, lost its first game of the season on Friday, dropping the Bulldogs to fifth. St. Edward trails rival St. Ignatius (1) and Canton McKinley (2) in the rankings. All three teams are 5-0.
