Strongsville High Nominated For Browns Game Of The Week

The winning team in the Game of the Week will receive $2,500 for its football program.

STRONGSVILLE, OH —The upcoming football game between Strongsville High and Medina High has been nominated for Cleveland Browns High School Game of the Week. If the match-up is selected for game of the week, the Browns will cover the game on their website and social media and the winning team will receive $2,500 for its football program.

The Strongsville Mustangs are currently 4-2. They've lost to Brunswick and Euclid in consecutive weeks, but have victories against Shaker Heights, Berea, Hudson, and Brecksville-Broadview Heights. They'll be playing Medina at Medina on Friday night.

Medina is also 4-2 headed into Friday's game.

Strongsville is ranked No. 12 in OHSAA's regional computer polls. Medina is ranked No. 10. A win by either team could move them up in the rankings. Currently Mentor, who are 6-0, are ranked No. 1 in the region.

The other games nominated for Browns Game of the Week are Solon versus Euclid, Stow versus Nordonia and South versus Mayfield. Voters can cast their ballots online.
