Strongsville Police Hire New Officers To Patrol City
Six new officers were hired in February, including two officers who were sworn-in last week.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville police recently hired two new officers to patrol the city.
Officers Richard Anthony and Daniel Ebert were sworn-in during a ceremony at Strongsville City Hall last week. Both officers are expected to begin work in mid-March, city officials said.
Police Chief Mark Fender said the hiring of Anthony and Ebert will help Strongsville police maintain appropriate staffing levels for patrolling the city.

Anthony was a Cleveland police officer before coming to Strongsville. He grew up in North Olmsted and graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in Human Movement studies. He also works as a personal trainer and fitness instructor.
Ebert was a member of Cleveland Clinic police before moving to Strongsville. He grew up in Warren and attended Youngstown State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice studies. He also attended the Kent State University Police Academy, graduating in 2020.

The hiring of Anthony and Ebert comes after four new officers were added to Strongsville Police in early February. Kaitlin Smead, Cheyann Wolf, Samuel Ortiz and Brent Robinson were all hired during that time. The first three were previously with Cleveland police, while Robinson came from Parma police.
